I grew up in a small town in Michigan and graduated from Hope College in 2004 with a degree in economics. After college, I eventually made my way to Washington D.C., where I met my wife, Lauren, in 2012. Thirteen months later, I proposed, and we were married in 2014, surrounded by our closest friends and family. Our shared love for travel and adventure has taken us across the globe—from walking through ancient ruins in Rome to scuba diving in the Caribbean, golfing at Gleneagles in Scotland, and heliboarding in Whistler. Along the way, I've come to value the experiences that stretch you, connect you with others, and leave lasting memories. At home, I enjoy cooking, golfing, experimenting with homemade hot sauces, and home-brewing beer—hobbies that remind me that good things take time and care. After saying goodbye to our beloved 12-year-old rescue, Dutch, in 2024, we adopted a spirited Catahoula leopard dog named Vesper.
